ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Albany International Airport announced they are preparing for what is expected to be one of the busiest Thanksgiving travel periods in the last several years. Ahead of the holiday, the airport is offering some advice to help ensure a smooth journey for anyone passing through Albany. COULTERVILLE, Ill – There is a traveling elk on the loose who has been spotted near Springfield, Illinois. The timing couldn't be better—you can convince your children that it's one of Santa's reindeer now that it's here—but if you spot it, you should notify the game warden in your county immediately. According to Bond County game warden William Wichern, the elk's journey began near Coulterville, south of I-64. The latest report places it near Sangchris Lake in Springfield, Illinois.Hunters sent numerous pictures captured by deer cameras to the authorities. Interstate 70 eastbound is closed at the summit of Vail Pass due to a single-vehicle rollover that seriously injured at least one person, according to the Colorado State Patrol.Two people were injured in the crash, and at least one person sustained serious injuries, Master Trooper Gary Cutler said. Denver International Airport and the Transportation Security Administration are preparing for a busy couple of weeks as Thanksgiving travel picks up.From Friday, Nov. 17 to Monday, Nov. 27, TSA in a news release said it expects to screen nearly 800,000 passengers through DIA checkpoints, a 13% increase from 2022.“In preparation for the Thanksgiving holiday travel period, TSA has been working with our airport and airline partners at DEN to develop a comprehensive plan that ensures we will be ready for the increase in departing travelers who need to be screened,” TSA Federal Security Director for Colorado Larry Nau stated in the release. “Our TSA officers will be working extended shifts and be joined by national TSA staffing resources so we can keep the security lanes open and operations going smoothly.”The three busiest days at the Denver airport during the Thanksgiving travel period are projected to be the Tuesday and Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving and the Sunday ...Officials don't know how thousands of African migrants end up in Tijuana
